Braun Must Replace Donnelly Who Has Betrayed Pro-life Hoosiers

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Right to Life Political Action Committee (PAC) announces its endorsement of Republican Mike Braun for U.S. Senate over Democratic incumbent Joe Donnelly. Chairman of the Indiana Right to Life PAC, Mike Fichter, provided the following statement:

“Joe Donnelly tells Indiana voters he’s pro-life, but the abortion lobby and Democratic leadership know he’s a reliable pro-abortion vote in the U.S. Senate. Donnelly votes to fund abortion providers, like Planned Parenthood, with our taxpayer dollars. Not only is Planned Parenthood Indiana’s largest abortion business, but its employees have been caught on tape flippantly discussing the harvesting and sale of baby body parts. Donnelly is so callous towards what Hoosiers want, that he even announced he will oppose President Trump’s pick for the Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh.

“Indiana Right to Life PAC is pleased there is a solidly pro-life alternative to Joe Donnelly on November’s ballot. Indiana Right to Life PAC proudly endorses Mike Braun for U.S. Senate. Hoosiers deserve a senator who is with them 100 percent of the time. Mike takes a solid stand on pro-life issues and he will be a dependable voice for life in the U.S. Senate.”

Indiana Right to Life PAC works to elect pro-life candidates to public office for the purpose of enacting public policy that protects the right to life of all persons, including the unborn. Indiana Right to Life PAC believes that the issue of life is paramount to all other issues because without the right to life, all other freedoms are without meaning.

State Applauded for Appealing Judge’s Recommendation on Proposed Abortion Site in South Bend

October 2, 2018

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Right to Life’s President and CEO, Mike Fichter, issued the following statement upon learning the state of Indiana has appealed an administrative judge’s recommendation on the proposed abortion facility in South Bend, Ind. By appealing, Whole Woman’s Health Alliance (WWHA) will remain without an abortion license to operate in South Bend, but the legal battle will continue.

“We applaud the state of Indiana for continuing the legal effort to prevent an abortion business from opening in South Bend. We encourage the state to vigorously defend its denial of the license. Activist courts should not be overriding the state’s right to make licensing decisions.”

The State of Indiana denied WWHA’s application for an abortion license in January. The denial letter stated: “Based upon the Department’s review, the Commissioner finds WWHA failed to meet the requirement that the Applicant is of reputable and responsible character and the supporting documentation provided inaccurate statements and information.” Last month, Indianapolis-based administrative law judge, Clare Deitchman, sided with WWHA in their bid to open a new abortion facility and recommended they receive an abortion license.

Indiana Right to Life’s mission is to protect the right to life, especially of unborn children, through positive education, compassionate advocacy and promotion of healthy alternatives to abortion.
