Fact-checking John Gregg: Planned Parenthood Does NOT Do Mammograms

October 26, 2016

gregg-debate-fact-check

It’s a tired lie. It’s been repeated by politicians, celebrities and admirers of the abortion giant, Planned Parenthood. The fact is, saying Planned Parenthood does mammograms does not make it so.

Last night at the Indiana Gubernatorial Debate, abortion came up (video here, question begins at 30:13). Democrat John Gregg defended his support for taxpayer funding to Planned Parenthood, citing mammograms as a reason they deserve our tax dollars.

Let’s be clear: Planned Parenthood does NOT do mammograms.

Even Planned Parenthood’s head, Cecile Richards, was forced to admit this fact at a Congressional hearing in 2015.

So, Planned Parenthood does no mammograms, but instead they do abortions. Lots of them. More than 320,000 abortions per year, in fact. That’s 320,000 individuals who will never vote, need a mammogram or get to take their first breath.

John Gregg, you need to set the record straight. Be forthright with Indiana voters. Tell them, Planned Parenthood does not do mammograms.

And for repeating this tired lie, we should add you to this montage:

Indiana Right to Life PAC Also Makes Endorsements in Congressional Races

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Right to Life Political Action Committee (PAC) endorses Todd Young in his race for U.S. Senate. The PAC also endorses U.S. House candidates Jackie Walorski (District 2), Jim Banks (District 3), Todd Rokita (District 4), Susan Brooks (District 5), Luke Messer (District 6), Catherine (Cat) Ping (District 7), Larry Bucshon (District 8) and Trey Hollingsworth (District 9).

“It is imperative that Hoosiers send pro-life voices to represent them in Congress,” said Mike Fichter, Chairman of the Indiana Right to Life PAC. “Regardless of who holds the White House, Congress must continue to advance pro-life policies like defunding Planned Parenthood, protecting babies born alive after abortions and blocking the federal funding of abortions.

“We are confident that Todd Young will be a dependable vote for life in the Senate. Among other important issues facing our next Senator will be the confirmation of a Supreme Court justice to replace Justice Antonin Scalia. We need a pro-life Senator who understands how crucial it is to truly vet the judge who may sway abortion-related Supreme Court decisions for a generation.

“We encourage pro-life Hoosiers to elect Todd Young to the Senate and Walorski, Banks, Rokita, Brooks, Messer, Ping, Bucschon and Hollingsworth to the House.”

Indiana Right to Life PAC works to elect pro-life candidates to public office for the purpose of enacting public policy that protects the right to life of all persons, including the unborn. INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Right to Life Political Action Committee (PAC) endorses Indiana Lt. Gov. Eric Holcomb in his race to become Indiana’s next governor. The PAC also endorses Indiana Auditor Suzanne Crouch for Lieutenant Governor and Elkhart County Prosecutor Curtis Hill for Indiana Attorney General.

“We readily endorse Lt. Gov. Eric Holcomb for governor and Auditor Suzanne Crouch for Lieutenant Governor,” said Mike Fichter, Chairman of the Indiana Right to Life PAC. “The Right to Life community has full confidence that the Holcomb and Crouch team will continue the many pro-life policies enacted by the Daniels and Pence administrations. We believe they will work closely with the pro-life leadership of the Indiana House and Senate. The abortion rate has decreased for seven consecutive years and several abortion facilities have closed their doors in recent years. We look forward to working with our future governor, Eric Holcomb, to ensure all Hoosier children are given birthdays.

“We also endorse Curtis Hill for Indiana Attorney General. The importance of this office cannot be overstated. The abortion industry must play by the rules. Hill values the sanctity of human life and we trust Hill will ensure women’s health and safety is protected.”

Indiana Right to Life PAC Endorses Trump/Pence

October 3, 2016

Indiana Right to Life PAC:

Trump/Pence

Trump/Pence

INDIANAPOLIS – Today, the Indiana Right to Life Political Action Committee (PAC) announced its endorsement of businessman Donald Trump and Gov. Mike Pence (R-Indiana) in the race for the White House. Mike Fichter, Chairman of the Indiana Right to Life PAC, said:

“We urge pro-life Hoosiers to select Donald Trump and Mike Pence when they cast their presidential vote. Trump and Pence are the best team for advancing pro-life policies, like defunding Planned Parenthood of our tax dollars. The next president will nominate at least one Supreme Court justice. We know Hillary Clinton will nominate a progressive activist, who will not uphold pro-life state laws being heard by the highest court in the land. We also know a Clinton administration will direct our tax dollars to abortion businesses and will expand access to abortion here at home and overseas.

“Trump picked a solidly pro-life public servant when he selected Pence as his running mate. Indiana’s abortion rate has declined every year during the Pence administration and four abortion facilities have closed their doors. Under Pence, the state has enforced health and safety standards that protect women. Pence has signed numerous pro-life bills into law, including the most recent Dignity for the Unborn Law that gives respect to the unborn child and bars discriminatory abortions. Finally, Pence’s Real Alternatives program at pregnancy resource centers provides life-affirming care to mothers and children as they decide to choose life. Pence will bring his pro-life commitment to the Trump administration.

“Trump and Pence are our best option to advance the cause of life. We endorse Trump and Pence in the race for the White House.”

Indiana Right to Life PAC works to elect pro-life candidates to public office for the purpose of enacting public policy that protects the right to life of all persons, including the unborn.
