Opt-Out Indiana
Indiana Must Opt-Out of the
Federal Health Care Plan
Taxpayer-Funded Abortion Coverage!
•The new federal health care law, known as Obamacare, requires federal agencies to subsidize and administer health plans that will pay for elective abortions.
•The law also opens the door to direct federal funding of abortion in Community Health Centers, hundreds of which are operated by Planned Parenthood – the nation’s largest abortion provider.
•The Executive Order signed by President Obama, widely and inaccurately reported as prohibiting taxpayer abortion funding under the law, cannot overrule the abortion impact of the law.
•States are allowed to opt-out of abortion coverage in the state-based insurance “exchanges” created by the law.
•Thousands of Hoosiers do not want to subsidize abortion coverage or pay for abortions.
Opt-out legislation cannot be introduced until January of 2011. Please sign this petition so that Governor Daniels and members of the Indiana General Assembly know that thousands of Hoosiers want Indiana to opt-out of subsidizing abortions through health insurance.

“ Though some may think the new Federal Health bill restricts abortion, quite the opposite is true and misleading. Under the new law federal agencies are required to subsidize elective abortions. We must do what many other states have recently done and immediately pass ‘opt out’ legislation to prevent tax payer money being used for abortions. “ State Representative Wes Culver
